Compliments are good and should be made often. Try your best not to criticize, as even constructive criticism is not taken well. Dress well and neatly to win more respect, as it is appreciated. The sniffing of your cheeks is a sign of affection, so be ready for that. And be generous. You may even be expected to share your clothes and your toothbrush.
