Freeview is a very popular way to watch digital TV as you don’t need much doing. It is the simplest way as long as your aerial gives a strong enough signal. You plug your aerial in the box and then plug the freeview box into the TV. Voila – you have digital. You get the normal channels plus a range of free to watch digital TV stations, and you can pay to watch more.
You can now get TVs with built in freeview, but many people don’t need to go to the expense of buying a new TV. You can pick up a freeiew box quite cheaply, even supermarkets are selling them at the minute.
Sky TV – this will need a monthly subscription to Sky television. You’ll also require a dish installed that will usually be carried out by Sky.
Freesat is another option that picks up the digital signal from a satellite instead of a transmitter. We can install your freeview equipment for you (we don’t just do aerials). Although you have to buy the equipment and have someone install it for you there is no ongoing monthly fee unless you want to upgrade an watch more channels.
